The Full Story
I’m Rohini Oberoi—a sound healing practitioner, an artist, and yoga teacher. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with presence—and that through sound, creative expression and yoga, we reconnect with something deep within ourselves.
Being artisically inclined I wanted a creative job, so I studied Interior Architecture at the Maryland Institute College of Art and after graduation worked in the corporate world for 11 years.
Complete burn-out led to a stress-induced illness, which made me rethink my life choices. In 2011, I moved to India, searching for a cure where modern medicine had failed. I returned to yoga after decades and soon found myself at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. What started as a yoga vacation turned into six years of immersive study, karma yoga, and teaching—including opening my own Sivananda Yoga Studio in Kochi, Kerala.
As my yoga practice deepened, so did my healing—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. That journey naturally looped back to art. Except now I focused on mandalas and art once again became therapeutic and became meditation. Sacred geometry helped me express what I was feeling in stillness and in chaos.
Sound healing entered my life through mantra and satsangs that were an essential part of life in the ashram. Today, I use crystal bowls, metal singing bowls, rainsticks, and elemental sounds in both private and group sessions. I still use mantras as a part of my healing sessions
Now, I offer you what helped me heal: sound healing experiences, mandala art and yoga that invite calm, clarity, and connection.
This is my way of holding space—for your healing, and your return to wholeness.
